Why We’re Thankful

As Thanksgiving draws nearer, we find ourselves reflecting on the many blessings in our lives, big and small. For this month’s blog, each member of the Sage team were asked what they’re thankful for:

I’m thankful for the best team that anyone could ever ask for–they give consistent support and encouragement. And working as a care manager provides opportunities to create lifelong relationships with my clients and families.

I’m also thankful for a healthy family, time with my dad who is suffering with Alzheimer’s disease, and close-knit family who support each other.

I am thankful for my family who are always supportive, the amazing team at Sage Care Management, and for being able to serve San Antonio area seniors and their families for 20 years.

I am thankful for:

  1. My Faith and Trust in a God that is always with me and always faithful during every season of my life.
  2. My health! Recovered from Covid without any long term consequences.
  3. My family, friends and coworkers that are loving, kind & encouraging!

I am grateful for so many things.  I am grateful for all the days that I have lived and all the people who have molded me throughout my life’s journey.  This includes my family, friends, teachers, mentors, bosses, professional peers.  Some of these people were a positive influence, while others were negative and even toxic, but I learned from them all.

I am grateful to be blessed to have been born in this country where I have so many freedoms – freedom of religion, freedom of speech and freedom to vote to name a few.

I am grateful for my health and have been blessed to maintain my health despite my bad eating habits and no exercise.  I am so thankful for Mexican food and fried chicken.

I was blessed with a family full of people who are always ready and willing to serve others. I am thankful for their constant encouragement, support, and love. I wouldn’t be where I am without them. I can only hope to attain the level of selflessness that they possess.

I am thankful for the healthy work environment that Sage provides and the wonderful group of colleagues who challenge me, encourage me, and are always there when I need extra support. It’s not often that you find a group of people who get along so well and are so happy in their careers.

Chick-fil-A’s peppermint chocolate chip milkshake. It is one of my favorite treats during the holiday season and makes my heart happy.

Amongst the innumerable blessings in my life, I am deeply grateful, first and foremost, for a God who is always faithful, loving, good and who always provides for me. I am fortunate enough to have a family that loves me and is actively invested in my life, as well as a girlfriend who constantly helps me to be a better person and who I can give my love to wholeheartedly. Finally, I am blessed with a passion for the arts, through which I am enabled to serve God and the world with joy and satisfaction.

From all of us at Sage, Happy Thanksgiving. We are so grateful for all of you and we hope the holiday brings you peace and happiness.
