Meet Holly!

Sage Care Management has a new Client Services Coordinator, Holly Goforth. This month, Holly’s agreed to share a bit about herself and where she comes from:

“I am a lifelong resident of San Antonio, TX. I am happily married to my husband Rod and am the mother of 4 grown sons. I spent 15 years as a stay-at-home mother to the boys and started a home-based medical transcription business in 1996, which continued for over 18 years. I transcribed for many physicians in San Antonio, but my longest client was Dr. Gerald Green, a gastroenterologist, who I was with from the start. I felt very blessed by Dr. Green and his staff. He allowed me to have the work-family balance that I so much needed to be available for my family, along with providing the needed income to assist in caring for and feeding 4 growing boys!

As the boys got older and entered high school, I decided to re-enter the workforce, spending over 10 years working in administrative roles in public and private schools. I felt at home working in schools. I found it to be very enjoyable and loved interacting with the students, especially high schoolers. I also had the pleasure of working at a private Christian school in San Antonio for 6 years, where I found the families and staff to be extremely kind and considerate. I made some very meaningful relationships there that I will keep with me forever. I have always been a family-oriented person, growing up very close to my mother. She is nearly 84 years old now and over the last couple of years, she has needed more assistance with her appointments and other things around the house. As hard as it was, I made the decision to reduce my work schedule to be there for her.

After a lengthy search for the “perfect job”, I found Sage. It was so ironic to be able to find a job with the work schedule that I needed for my mom, but also one that specializes in taking care of those in need. I am honored to be part of the Sage family and the reputation it has built for itself over the last 20 years. Byron and his team all have huge hearts dedicated to caring for our elderly and disabled community and I look forward to being a part of their continued success!

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, my boys and their wives and girlfriends. I like relaxing at the beach and being outdoors in the fresh air and sun. I also have a 2-year-old golden retriever named Duke who keeps me laughing non-stop.”
